First and foremost, I like to thank the committee of Buletin SPU, School of Medicine, Universiti Malaysia Sabah for giving me the opportunity to convey my message to all our readers.
I am proud of the establishment of Buletin SPU in our effort to promote the School of Medicine as well as to give us a chance to share the activities and programmes of our school with other universities. Nevertheless, I also hope that more copies of this bulletin will be published so as to be distributed not only within the university, but but also to our government agencies and other private organizations.
Personally, I hope the school can achieve greater strength in terms of professionalism, which to include more academic staff of high calibre from in and outside the state. I also hope that the collaboration with hospitals in Sabah is further enhanced through organized activities whereby it can help us to produce excellent graduate students.
Our mission is to produce more postgraduate programmes, not only by research course but also by introducing professional courses, including specialist programmes and other programmes such as in nursing and allied health.
