3rd Sport Carnival, SPU

There are always winners and losers in a competition. The most important thing is sportsmanship, teamwork and supporting each other. This year, we had 3 additional games: Badminton, Pool and Jogathon. Besides, each team also came out with their very own flag design, logo and tag line. These changes resulted in a very competitive, interesting, and enjoyable Sports Carnival. Aurora, Borneo Star and Cheetah members practiced very hard and tried their best to win their respective games.

Launching of the 3rd Sports Carnival of SPU was held in conjunction with the fishing competition at UMS Jetty and badminton at Yayasan Sabah. Fishing competition was won by Cheetah with 3 heaviest fishes caught by Affendy, Halimah and Dr Rajesh respectively. As for badminton, the winner was Borneo Star. Chess competition was won by team Aurora, whereas carom was won by team Borneo Star. Another new game, Pool competition which was held on the same day gave Borneo Star a big victory winning 8 rounds out of 10 rounds.
